Medvedev lost back to back matches on a hard court for the first time in over a year after losing to Lajovic in straight sets in a strange performance but will be looking to reboot his season this week. However, Meddy won't have it all his own way with players like Sinner and Khachanov in his half of the draw, he will have to fight his way to the final.
Stefanos TSITSIPAS (#6)
Tsitsipas has made back to back semi finals (Australian Open and Rotterdam) and improved his record to 9/2 win loss this year only losing to the Russians Medvedev and Rublev. After a tough road to the Rublev Rotterdam showdown, Stef will be happy with his "light" draw and as 2 time defending champion will be looking to it a three peat in Marseille.
Jannik SINNER (#32)
Sinner started 2021 with a title a the Great Ocean Road Open, unfortunately he has not been able to continue that form after losing back to back first round matches. After a week break, Jannik will be feeling fresh and looking to take on a tough quarter with a likely quarter final matchup with Top Seed Medvedev on the cards.
